 | Story taken from: KWTX.com WACO (October 27, 2009)--Former Groesbeck and Hill College star Trent Lockwood signed a contract with a New York Yankees. Lockwood was a member of the independent league team, the Amarillo Dillas this summer. The 6’4 235-pound first baseman appeared in 78 games hitting 15 doubles and 5 triples to go along with his 14 home runs while posting a .315 batting average and slugging .541, in 289 plate appearances. Lockwood was an All-Southland Conference performer at first baseman for UT-San Antonio. |  | Congratulations to former Rebel Chris Court who was selected by the Boston Red Sox in the 2009 MLB Draft. | The Rebels compete in the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference, which is made up of Temple College, Ranger College, McLennan Community College, Weatherford College, Grayson College, Vernon College, and North Central Texas College.
All home games are played at the Rebel Baseball Field, which is located on the Hill College campus. |
