AMIGO DISC GOLF TOURNAMENT
Hill College hosted the First Annual Amigo Disc Golf tournament Sat., April 14, at the Johnson County Campus in Cleburne. It was the first public disc golf tournament Hill College had ever hosted.
Under less than stellar conditions, fun was had by all who participated.
"The major participant in the tournament was the wind, it affected everything," Dean of Students Bill Gilker said. "Golf discs were sailing everywhere except the direction the players wanted them to go."
Winners for the tournament were Taylor Calahan from Tarrant County College who won the men's and collegiate divisions, and Jessicah Hough from Hill College who won the women's division. Steve Runkel was the winner of the Closest-to-Basket contest.
