Basketball - Men's Coaches
 Swede Trenkle - Head Coach & Assistant AD Trenkle begins his ninth year as head men's basketball coach at Hill College. During his tenure, more than 30 student athletes have moved on to play at a four-year school, many of which went Division I.
Trenkle served for four years as assistant coach at NJCAA Division I Seward County Community College. The SCCC Saints had an 89-37 record and won one conference championship and finished second twice. The Saints also started out in the NJCAA national poll all four seasons.
Trenkle spent three years as assistant coach at NCAA Division II Pittsburg State University under Gene Iba. The Gorillas compiled a 64-24 record during Trenkle's tenure, including two trips to the NCAA-II national tournament. PSU won 18 games in a row during one stretch in 1999, earning the No. 1 ranking in the country.
Prior to his stint at PSU, Trenkle served in a similar capacity at Fort Hays State University. During his tenure on the FHSU staff, the Tigers captured the NCAA Division II national championship in an undefeated (34-0) season in 1996 and reached the NCAA Division II Sweet 16 in a 29-2 campaign in 1997.
Trenkle earned a master's degree in administration of sport in 1997, and completed a bachelor's degree in finance in 1994 at Fort Hays State University. Swede and his wife, Lizza, have a daughter, Elexus (12), and son Caeden (9).
 Duncan Hudson - Assistant Coach Hudson enters his second year as the assistant men's basketball coach at Hill College. Hudson's duties will include scouting, recruiting, individual development, practice and game management.
Hudson brings a wealth of junior college coaching experience to Hill with stops at Frank Phillips and Paris Junior College. In Hudson's time at Paris (2007-08), PJC captured a national tournament appearance and ended the season with a # 8 national ranking. He assisted the Dragons with all aspects of the program, including playing a key role in the student-athletes' academics, individual development and game management.
Prior to Paris, Hudson was the assistant coach at Frank Phillips for two seasons including a record-breaking Frank Phillips team in his second season. In 2006-07, FPC won the most conference games in school history while capturing the program's second conference title in its 42-year history. His duties included student athletes' academics, strength & conditioning, recruiting and scouting coordinator.
During the 2010-11 season, Hudson was part of the staff at Concordia University in Austin, Texas. He helped the team to the conference tournament, and his duties included scouting, individual player development and academics.
Hudson enjoyed a very successful collegiate playing career, spending time at Kilgore, Midland and the University of the Incarnate Word. He earned all-conference honors at all three stops before playing professionally in England from 2004-05. Hudson is a native of Shallowater, Texas.
Hudson graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in kinesiology and is currently working on his master's degree in education at Wayland Baptist University.
