Head Coach Leigh Ebner

Ebner begins her 14th season as the head coach of the Lady Rebels' softball program. Her teams in the past have been well-rounded; performing well not only on the field, but also in the classroom. Every team since 2007 has been named an All American team.

Ebner's playing experience dates back to 1996 when she pitched for Ranger College while earning her associate's degree. From there, she moved to Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Okla., where she pitched for two more years.

She earned her Bachelor of Science degree and received her master's degree in education from Tarleton State University. Prior to her tenure at Hill, Ebner spent five years as the head coach at Ranger College.

She is a native of Santa Fe, Texas, and currently resides in Hillsboro with her husband, Ryan, and their sons, Easton and Knocks.

Assistant Coach Taylor Hodge

Hodge enters her 5th season assistant coach for Hill. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication and is currently working towards a Master's in Kinesiology.

Hodge played two seasons at Texarkana College where she was third baseman, first baseman and pitcher under Leslie Messina from 2008-10. She was named pitcher of the week twice for the Lady Bulldogs.

From 2010-12, Hodge played two seasons as first baseman and pitcher at Texas Wesleyan University under Shannon Gower. As a senior captain, she helped the team to a Red River Athletic Conference Championship and National Qualifiers with a record of 20-4. She received RRAC pitcher of the week twice while attending Texas Wesleyan.

Hodge has also been a pitching coach for fastpitch softball for five years, working with girls ranging in age from 10-18. For more information about the Lady Rebel Softball program or inquiring about pitching lessons, contact Hodge at thodge@hillcollege.edu.
