Hill College Offers Fast Track Health Career Classes

HILLSBORO – Hill College offers health career programs that can qualify students to work in high-demand jobs in a short time.

Whether students need a specific job skill or want to expand their career skills, Hill College Community and Workforce Education Department offers short-term, skills-based Health Career Programs taught by professionals to meet today’s workplace needs.

These courses run the gamut from Certified Medication Aide to Massage Therapist to Certified Professional Coder, and are all based on the strong employer demand in Hill and Johnson County’s growing healthcare sectors. Health Careers have consistently been among the top careers in the region, based on the state’s ‘Top Jobs’ list.

Courses to be offered in Hillsboro include, but are not limited to Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Coder, Pharmacy Technician and Phlebotomy.

All programs have updated curriculum and are offered in flexible formats.  More importantly, students can apply what they are learning through simulations, internships, clinical rotations and other modes of hands-on experience. Hill College’s certificate programs help students stay current in their jobs, gain new responsibilities within their companies, or help prepare to transition into a new career.

For help selecting a health career program, or for program information contact, Casey Bosher at (817) 760-5820. Health Career Orientations are scheduled for 6 p.m., Tuesday, June 10, Tuesday, July 8th, and Tuesday, August 5^th on the Hillsboro Campus, bottom level of the Hill College Library. 

Payment plans, along with the Texas Public Education Grant (TPEG), are available for those who qualify.
