Hill College volleyball has ended their winning season ranked number eight in the 2017 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) national tournament, making this the best finish in Hill College volleyball history.
The Lady Rebels traveled to Hutchinson, Kan., for the NJCAA Division I national tournament, where they won their first game against Monroe College (N.Y.). Next, the Lady Rebels fell to New Mexico Military Institute in three. In their third match-up of the tournament, the Lady Rebels lost to Polk State College (Fla.) in five matches. In their final game of the tournament, the team took on the College of Southern Idaho to compete for seventh place, and fell in three.
Head Coach Jordan Fish said, “I’m so proud of all of the work this team has put in this season. All but one of my sophomores are going to continue playing volleyball at universities next year. Their leadership has set a wonderful tone for the upcoming sophomores and incoming freshmen. I’m already looking forward to next season; our next goal is to win a national championship.”
The Hill College volleyball team finished the season 24-7, undefeated in conference, and eighth in the national tournament.
