Hill College women’s basketball team headed to NJCAA Region 5 tournament

The Hill College Lady Rebels basketball team wrapped up the regular season with a huge 56-46 win over McLennan Community College to secure the third seed in the National Junior College Athletics Association (NJCAA) Region 5 tournament. The Lady Rebels finished their regular season in third place, behind Collin County (1) and Weatherford (2), going 9-5 (.643) in conference, and have an overall record of 18-12 (.600). Sitting at the third seed, the Lady Rebels will be facing the west’s second place team, Midland College, on Thursday, March 8, at 3 p.m. This is the fourth year in a row the Lady Rebels have made it to the NJCAA Region 5 tournament. This year, the NJCAA Region 5 men’s and women’s basketball tournament will be held in Lubbock, Texas, at Frenship High School. ​

The entire tournament will be streaming live via stretch internet. To access the live stream, visit the NJCAA Region 5 website at www.njcaaregion5.com and click on the ‘Tournament Info’ tab in the top left corner of the homepage. Then, click the ‘Watch Live’ tab in the dropdown menu. This will direct you to the Region 5 tournament portal which will allows access each game.

Each game will be stated live utilizing Presto Sports. Live stats will be available on the stream as well on the region website during and after each game. To access stats, click the ‘Tournament Info’ tab in the top left corner of the homepage. Then, click on either the men’s or women’s tournament to find your team. ​
