Hill College will host the 2019 Commencement Ceremony in Hillsboro May 9

Hill College will host its 2019 commencement ceremony Thursday, May 9, at 7 p.m. at the Bob Bullock Sports Center, Hill County Campus, 112 Lamar Dr., Hillsboro. 

Degrees will be awarded for Associate of Arts, Associate of Science and Associate of Applied Science. Certificates of Technology and Completion will be awarded, as well as Occupational Skills Awards. The degrees represent nearly 40 fields of study. 

“We are extremely proud of all of our graduates,” said Hill College President Dr. Pam Boehm. “They have worked hard and we are excited to celebrate this wonderful achievement with them.” 

After the processional, welcome and invocation, Boehm will recognize all active military and veterans. Hillsboro, Cleburne and Burleson Chambers of Commerce will present a student of the year award for their respective communities. Honor graduates will be recognized by Vice President of Student Services Lizza Trenkle. Vice President of Instruction Dr. Kerry Schindler will certify the candidates, and Boehm will present the degrees with Board of Regents President David Teel. 

Each candidate for graduation will be provided with four tickets for attendees. Over flow seating is available at the Performing Arts Center. 

Graduates are invited to a reception hosted by the Development Office beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the Student Center prior the ceremony. 

Additionally, the associate nursing pinning ceremony will take place at 5 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center.
