Hill College and Hillsboro High School held the 15th Annual Teen Forum on April 23 at the Hill County Campus.

Hill College Teen Forum began in 2005, as the outcome of collaboration with Hillsboro Independent School District. The program was specifically designed for high school seniors to develop and enhance their knowledge in pursuit of attending college, specifically Hill College.

Each year HISD seniors are given the opportunity to participate as Hill College Teen Forum candidates. Ten seniors are selected based on recommendations of teachers and counselors. Candidates complete a Teen Forum application for the final selection.

Each spring the Teen Forum event is held at the Hill County Campus. Candidates are given a campus tour, attend a special lunch, and participate in question and answer session with Hill College faculty and staff. All ten Teen Forum attendees are presented a $1,000 scholarship from President Dr. Pam Boehm to attend Hill College the following year. Additionally, students prepare prior to the Forum by learning about appropriate business attire and conduct.

The following Hillsboro High School students participated in the forum: Alexa Beltran, Sabrina Cagnon, Guadalupe Gobellan, Louisa Gonzalez, Samuel Hernandez Gaspar, Emily Lesley, Jonathan Lopez, Brenda Moreno, Jennifer Pineda-Fernandez, Aleahia Washington.
