HC to Offer Success Camps for Accuplacer Exam

06.24.13

Problems with your Accuplacer Score? Hill College Summer Success Camps can help! In an effort to help students through developmental studies, Hill College will be offering FREE Summer Success Camps designed to improve test scores which indicate a student’s need for one or more developmental classes.

Developmental classes are remedial classes that give students no credit toward a degree. The purpose of these classes is to prepare students for college-level, credit classes.

The camps are for students who have already applied to Hill College and have tested into developmental classes. Tuition for the camps is free, and upon completion of one or more of the camps, Hill College will offer a FREE Accuplacer test. Enrollment will be limited and on a first-come-first-served basis so inquire today for additional information.

“We hope that if our students will take advantage of these Success Camps, they can shorten the amount of time and money they have to spend taking non-college level courses,” Vice President and Coordinator for Developmental Education Dr. Roger Schustereit said. “At Hill College, it is all about what is best for our students.”

The camps will be offered 8 a.m. – noon, and 6 p.m. – 10 p.m., August 12-15. Camp topics include: reading, English, math and test-taking skills. Students can take one or more of the camps depending on which developmental classes they tested into at the time of their Accuplacer exam.
