Hill College Says Bon Voyage to Retired Cars

07.02.15

Hill College had a special send off for three of their “retired” fleet vehicles July 2nd.  Ray Roberts, a Hill College Environmental Science Instructor who also leads the environmental clean-up of the campuses as the EPA Project Coordinator, called in some special assistance of Texas Can! Academy in the removal of the vehicles.

Roberts shared that this is the college’s second donation. The first donation was of three busses in 2012. “Donating the cars to Texas Can! Academy through Cars for Kids Car Donation Charity, whose motto is “Throw away the car, not the kid” is a great way to give back to our community,” Roberts said.  All vehicle and car donations help change the lives of at risk youth by providing them the highest quality high school education in an environment where they can flourish and graduate.
