Hill College welcomes new Phi Theta Kappa recipients

More than 60 Hill College students were inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society Tuesday in the Vara Daniels Performing Arts Center in Hillsboro.

Phi Theta Kappa is an international honor society of two-year colleges and academic programs designed to provide opportunities for the the development of leadership and service among its members.

Lauren Pundt-Miller and Vicki Bryant were recognized at Tuesday’s induction ceremony for being nominated to the All USA and Coca-Cola Academic Team. Bryant was also the recipient of the Nu Xi Academic Scholarship.

Hill College Phi Theta Kappa sponsors include Paula Curbo and Jenny Corder.

Minimum qualifications for membership into Phi Theta Kappa include first-rate completion of at least 12 hours of academic and core curriculum courses; Texas Success Initiative compliant and complete; and 3.5 minimum GPA in all coursework completed at Hill College.
