Needed Additional Information
- Concurrent Enrollment classes are classes that give you college credit for the same class you might normally only take as an AP class or a high school elective.
- Dual Credit allows you to receive both high school and college credit for the same class if registered through Hill College and formally approved by your high school.
- Any student who is currently a sophomore, junior, or senior at an accredited high school and is in good academic standing is qualified to take concurrent credit classes.
- Classes that are taught at the high school are dependent upon who is qualified to teach them. Instructors must have a master's degree plus 18 graduate hours in the subject matter area in which they are teaching.
- Contact your high school counselor, vice principal, or principal for information about what concurrent credit classes are taught and which ones are available for you to take.
- Since most concurrent courses will be taught at the college campus/center, you may talk to someone in our Dual Credit/Concurrent Enrollment office about course selection. You can receive information in our Dual Credit/Concurrent Enrollment office about applying for college admission and registering for this course(s) following your receiving official permission from your school counselor, vice principal, or principal to take this course(s).
- High school students are encouraged to register early, and, indeed, can be registered long before our regular college students. Some larger high schools have Hill College registration dates in which we come to the high school campus to register students. Contact your high school counselor for more information.
- Most high school dual-credit students are able to register for their courses online through Campus Connect. After our Dual Credit/Concurrent Enrollment staff has received the registration paperwork and has cleared students for online registration, student can register online through Campus Connect.

If you will be taking your dual-credit courses at your high school on your campus, you will select your high school for the location and will need to enter the appropriate course number and section number (Example: Burleson HS student taking Engl.1301.SB1).
