Criminal Background Requirements
- All current and interested students will be required to allow Hill College to examine their criminal background prior
to any clinical attendance.
- The clinical settings will not allow a student to participate at their facilities with a class �B� misdemeanor or
above within the last five (5) years.
- Any student with a felony conviction of state jail or above will also be subject to an investigation by the Texas
Department of Human Services. All Students should contact the Department of Human Services prior to enrolling and/or
completion of his/her EMS training.
- All students must understand that the clinical environment is a crucial part of the Hill College EMS training program.
Students who are not eligible to attend a clinical site due to an unsatisfactory criminal background will NOT
be eligible for completion of the EMS training program.
- A student may challenge the validity of the criminal investigation performed by Hill College by conducting their
own criminal history background investigation.
- The cost for this investigation will be at the expense of the student. The student shall utilize the Texas Department
of Public Safety criminal record division. The check shall include Texas Criminal Investigation Check (TCIC) and National
Criminal investigation Check (NCIC).
