Course Work Waiver Request

Please note that the process for evaluating the request for waiver will be lengthy. All requests are reviewed as first come first served basis. Each waiver reviewed is based on multiple documentation criterions as submitted by the prospective student.

It is recommended that the prospective student submit the request at least 3 months prior to the program deadline date.

The student needs to be aware that submission of the request for waiver is not a guarantee of approval.

The student must weigh the option of retaking the course(s) in question or submitting a waiver request with the understanding that the request for waiver may not be granted.

Failure to submit all requested documentation will result in delay of the waiver evaluation process.
The following documentation must be submitted:

Letter of request for waiver (see Sample)

List all course(s) you would like to be considered for waiver

Semester/year you took the course(s)

List the college(s) where you took the course(s).

List the area(s) of education and/or nursing experience that you feel shows that you have maintained current science knowledge.

Brief statement of why you feel the Health Science program should consider your request.

Official college transcripts from all colleges attended

Course descriptions for each course waiver you are requesting

Current detailed resume.
Failure to submit all documents requested, by posted deadline date, will delay the evaluation process and may result in the candidate not being considered for selection in your Health Science program of choice.
