Social Sciences

Program Summary

A knowledge of history, government, and the nuances of society and human interactions provides students with an understanding of societal behaviors and relationships. Social sciences provide the groundwork for careers in education, social and legal work, politics, journalism, public policy, city planning, among others.

This program offers courses that improve writing, research, and communication skills; data collection; and critical thinking—all important skills in any chosen career path.
