**HYBRID DELIVERY (Classroom & Online Content)**

Hill College is a recognized education/training program for CPhT with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).


Program prepares individuals for entry-level jobs as a Pharmacy Technician in retail and institutional settings. Students will learn to prepare prescription orders under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, perform applicable pharmacy calculations, and comply with federal and state regulatory agency laws and regulations. Upon completion of this program students will be able to perform all the duties required in any pharmacy practice setting. Students are also prepared to take the certification exam offered by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board to become a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT). The program consists of 208 hours of lecture/lab on dates given below, followed by a 150 hour internship in a local pharmacy setting after completion of class/lab. The internship is included in the cost of the course, scrubs and materials must be purchased separately. Students must register in all the classes below upon program entry. CPR for Healthcare Providers is required. Students are responsible for textbook(s) and supplies which are available in the Hill College bookstore. Registration requirements are located at:

Clinical rotations are typically conducted Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. There is no guarantee of the location that the student will attend. Students may have to travel up to 60 miles one way to a facility for clinical rotation.

High School Diploma or Transcript/GED Certificate
Apply for Pharmacy Technicians Trainee License with Texas Board of Pharmacy
Fingerprint process will begin with the registration for Pharmacy Technicians Trainee License
Valid Driver License or State Identification Card
Social Security Card
Immunizations (TDAP, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, TB Skin Test, Influenza)
CPR for Healthcare providers
Pass Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Background Check
