Hill College

Giving to Hill College

For nearly 90 years, Hill College has maintained a rich tradition of excellence as an educational leader in vocational and technical programs in Hill and Johnson counties. This long heritage of unrequited distinction has undoubtedly proven that it is a contender amongst the area’s best community college districts in Central Texas. To continue this legacy and build upon its marked momentum, Hill College turns to its past, current, and future supporters to sustain its plight toward academic excellence.

JOIN OUR LEGACY! Your support will allow Hill College to offer top-notch educational programs, attract high- achieving students, provide an environment conducive to higher learning, and sustain a strong faculty and staff workforce to preserve a solid infrastructure for future growth. Funds received will be used to support overall, unrestricted operating needs including student scholarships and capital requirements. Unrestricted support offers the greatest flexibility for addressing the most pressing needs and challenges of the college. Of course, gifts can also be restricted to those areas most important to you.

To maintain the confidence of our donors, Hill College upholds the tenets outlined by the Donor Bill of Rights. In light of the current economic state of America, a tremendous shift in the importance of the role of community colleges in society is more evident as many report challenges in keeping up with the increasing student enrollment demands. Today’s community colleges serve almost half of the undergraduate students in the United States. With significant budget cuts across the board, they are faced with dwindling resources for instruction, scholarships, capital, and administration. This holds true for Hill College.

Additionally, students who already lead challenging lives are again confronted with another obstacle of paying for their education. The workforce of today and into the future needs to be more educated than the workforces of previous generations. Educating a competitive workforce helps to stimulate both the local and state economies. It also helps individuals improve their lives and the lives of their family. Merely graduating from high school is no longer sufficient to guarantee a steady job and a middle class income.’ (American Association of Community Colleges)

Now more than ever private support is critical to the vitality of Hill College. We need your help in offering our students ‘endless possibilities.’  Please consider your best gift to our efforts, recognizing that all gifts truly make a difference.
