Hill College Recognized as 2013 Minority Education Innovator


AUSTIN – Hill College has once again been recognized as a 2013 Minority Education Innovator during the Texas Developmental Education Course Redesign Summit, July 15-16, in Austin, Texas.

The announcement of the honorable mention was made by Dr. De J. Lozada, publisher of the Texas Higher Education Journal and Executive Director, P-20 Institute for African American Student Success.

“Our president, Dr. Sheryl Kappus, made developmental education a priority in our recently instituted institutional strategic plan for Hill College,” Vice President and Coordinator for Developmental Education Dr. Roger Schustereit said. “This statewide award is recognition of the hard work and excellent teaching by our Hill College full time and adjunct faculty. At Hill College we always strive for excellence for the students and communities we serve.”
