Lady Rebels Defeat Temple in Four Sets
TEMPLE – The Lady Rebel volleyball team defeated Temple College in four sets Tuesday night in Temple. The win improves the Lady Rebels' record to 11-4 on the season and 1-0 in conference play.
The Lady Rebels won the first set 25-20, but lost the second set 25-23. Hill regained the momentum in set three as they won 25-19, and clinched the victory by winning the fourth set 25-18.
“What a great way to start conference play,” Head Coach Samantha Erger said. “Temple is always a tough team, and we know if we don’t play our best, they will take advantage of it.”
Hill was led by freshman Braylee Flaska who had 15 digs and eight kills. Other contributors included sophomores Chelby Stanford (34 assists and 10 digs) and Amy Holt (23 digs).
