Criminal Justice Students Visit Huntsville
Hill College Criminal Justice students recently took a field trip to the Huntsville Prison Unit. The Huntsville Unit is the oldest prison in Texas and is nicknamed the “Walls Unit” because of the large brick wall surrounding the facility. Students toured the original cellblock (which included death row from 1928 to 1952), the death house (which included death row from 1952-1965), the execution chamber, the prison chapel, and current living quarters.
