Hill College Testing Center Offers THEA-IBT
The Hill College Testing Center has announced that it has made the transition from the THEA (Texas Higher Education Assessment) paper/pencil test, which was discontinued on December 31, 2014, to the THEA ibt (Internet Based Test). There are currently only 28 locations at community colleges and universities in the state that offer the exam.
The THEA consists of three sections: Reading, Mathematics, and Writing. Each section is designed to measure a student's academic skill against an established standard of competence. A student's score on each section of the test is based on his or her performance in relation to the skills being tested. Scores are not related to how well other students have performed on the same section.
THEA- IBT tests are given by appointment only at both the Hillsboro and Cleburne testing centers. An administration fee of $10.00 will be made to Hill College. The cost of the test is $29.00 and will be paid for by credit card online at www.thea.nesinc.com. The test is 4 hours in length and scoring is immediate. Anyone interested in taking the THEA- IBT can contact the testing centers at 254-659-7816 or 817-760-5815.
