Hill Women’s Basketball Team Begins Conference Play with Win
The Hill College Lady Rebels basketball team has started conference play with a hard fought victory over Weatherford this past Saturday 82-77. The Lady Rebels “have come a long way and show tremendous growth and development since the beginning of the season,” said Head Coach, Scott Hyland.
The Lady Rebels are 11-6 so far this season and 1-0 in conference and only look to improve the remainder of the season.
The up-tempo offense averages 68 points a game and with winning scores of 82 and 87 points the past two games the Lady Rebels are looking to chase down a conference championship this year.
With a high quality and very exciting style of basketball, the Lady Rebels welcomes fans to come out this Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. to the Bob Bullock Sports Center as they take on Collin County Community College. “This is a great opportunity for the community to come out and enjoy an afternoon of basketball. The Running Rebels basketball team plays immediately after us at 4 p.m. and we appreciate the support of our fans and community,” said coach Hyland. For more information about the women’s basketball team and other Hill College athletic teams, visit www.hillcollege.edu/athletics.
