Hill College receives grant to purchase emergency preparedness kits


Hill College was recently awarded a grant by the George G. and Alva Hudson Smith Foundation to be used for purchasing emergency preparedness kits as part of the college’s Emergency Preparedness Plan.

Hillsboro native and current Executive Director for Texas PTA Kyle Ward will be making a special appearance Nov. 10 at Hill College (Hillsboro campus) to talk to with area PTA members as well as other interested educational groups beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the Vara Martin Daniels Performing Arts Center.

Hill College is looking for vendors who would like to be part of its annual “Holiday on the Hill Craft Expo” Nov. 6-7 in the Student Center Gymnasium.

Second Welding Class Available This Fall in Meridian


Hill College is offering an additional welding class at its Meridian Center this fall, following completion of its currently ongoing class. Students in the current welding class, as well as newcomers, are invited to enroll.
