Hill College

Second Welding Class Available This Fall in Meridian

Hill College is offering an additional welding class at its Meridian Center this fall, following completion of its currently ongoing class. Students in the current welding class, as well as newcomers, are invited to enroll.

Intermediate Welding will be taught Tuesdays and Thursdays, Oct. 13-Nov. 5, from 6 to 9 p.m. Using oxy-fuel cutting, plasma cutting, and shielded metal arc (stick) welding practices and procedures, students will develop their skills in the welding process and in the selection of materials and equipment. Welding theory will also be included. Basic Welding is recommended, but not required. The cost is $168.

The class is offered through the college’s Community and Workforce Education Department. Since the class is non-credit, there is no need to apply for college admission. To register, persons should call 817-760-5820. More information about the courses is available by emailing welding coordinator Brian Bennett at bbennett@hillcollege.edu.

The Hill College Meridian Center is located across from the Meridian ISD offices at 301 N. 2nd St.
