Trane surprises Hill College Board of Regents with $100K rebate check
Hill College’s Board of Regents received a much-welcomed surprise at Tuesday’s board meeting in the Hill County Campus Boardroom in Hillsboro.
Joey Johnson, Comprehensive Solutions Sales Leader for Trane, Inc., presented Hill College with a rebate check in the amount of $100,180.22 for its energy-conservation efforts over the past year.
Last year, Hill College entered into an agreement to participate in Trane’s Comprehensive Solutions Energy Savings Project. Since that time, administrators said that overall energy and water consumption has continued to significantly decrease according to the college’s monthly utility bills.
“Hill College has – and will – continue to use greener efforts not only to save money, but also to help save the environment,” Dr. Boehm said. “Our buildings are now running much more efficiently which makes us very proud.”
The Comprehensive Solutions Energy Savings Project primarily focused on energy and water usage throughout all of Hill College’s campuses and centers. All light fixtures were either replaced or retrofitted with energy-efficient ballasts or bulbs, and water flow was reduced for all sinks and toilets in the restrooms.
Trane continues to use data and analytics to help detect, diagnose and correct energy-wasting and equipment-degrading facilities.
