Hill College and Texas A & M collaborate on research for rose rosette disease

Hill College Math and Sciences Department and Texas A & M

 WHAT:                

Planting over 100 roses in the test research rose rosette garden that Hill College biology students will help collect the data from this garden and report that data to the lead researcher for a two-year period.

 WHERE:              

Hill College Johnson County Campus, 2112 Mayfield Parkway, Cleburne, TX between the administration building and the allied health building

 WHEN:                

Friday, March 3, at 10:30 a.m.

WHY:                   

Research will be conducted to test different rose varieties for resistance to rose rosette disease. This disease has been responsible for a massive die off of roses, and has had a confirmed case in Johnson County.
