Hill College registration open, two student grants available for spring semester

Registration is open for the spring 2022 semester, and students can view and register for classes online. Spring classes begin Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2022, and students are encouraged to register as soon as possible, as high-demand classes fill up quickly.
New grant funds up to $2,500 per student will also be available for the Spring 2022 semester for students who meet certain criteria.
Texas Reskilling Grant funds are available for workers who need to reskill or upskill to get back into the workforce or move their earning potential forward; students who have previously attended higher education institutions but didn’t complete a postsecondary credential; and individuals who have earned a lower-level certificate and want to earn a higher-level certificate or degree.
To be eligible, applicants must: be a Texas resident eligible for in-state tuition; cannot have been enrolled in college in fall 2021; complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application; have financial need and/or are eligible for federal Title IV aid; and can affirm they were affected by COVID-19. The TRUE Grant funds are also available for both the spring and summer 2022 semesters for current and new students who are interested in Hill College’s HVAC, welding, and industrial maintenance programs. Advising staff is available to help students in person, via Zoom, and over the phone through Wednesday, Dec. 15, and again beginning Monday, Jan. 10, 2022, as Hill College campuses and administrative offices will be closed for Christmas break from Thursday, Dec. 16, through Friday, Jan. 7, 2022.
To register in person, please visit the Hill County Campus at 112 Lamar Dr. in Hillsboro; the Johnson County Campus at 2112 Mayfield Pkwy. in Cleburne; or the Burleson Center at 130 E. Renfro in Burleson. Offices are open Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
