Hill College offers FREE tutoring online and in person to all Hill College students (subject to availability).  Smarthinking is an online tutoring service Hill College makes available to all its students.

Smarthinking provides tutoring in mathematics (basic math through Calculus, including Bilingual Math), Biology, Intro Human A & P, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physics, Economics, Accounting, Intro to Finance, Statistics, Spanish, Writing and Nursing. Tutoring is available 24/7.

How to Request a Tutor

Tutoring services are contingent upon the availability of tutors and tutoring funds. Upon request, students are assigned a peer tutor for each area/course in which they need assistance.  There are times when we are unable to provide a tutor due tutor availability in a particular subject area or lack of funds.

If you are interested in receiving tutoring, consider the following:

* Are you willing to meet once a week throughout the semester?

* Are you willing to attend special workshops or other academic activities?

Students who wish to receive tutoring must remember not to miss an appointment with a tutor.  Missed sessions/appointments will jeopardize a student's eligibility to receive tutoring.  Also, students who wish to receive tutoring must provide accurate contact information - if a student cannot be contacted, they cannot get tutoring!

If you need assistance in any of your classes, complete the Tutor Request Application.
Don’t wait! The earlier you apply the more time you’ll have to improve your grade!
