Boots and Suits Gala raises over $57,000 for scholarships and recognizes the 2019 Pillars of the Community

The 14th annual Hill College Boots and Suits Gala was held April 26 at the Cleburne Conference Center and raised over $57,000 to benefit Hill College district-wide scholarships for students. 

Nearly 350 guests from the Hill College service area were in attendance and enjoyed hors d’oeuvres by the Burleson Centennial High School ISD culinary department, a dinner catered by 360 Restaurant & Lounge, and entertainment provided by 380 West Band. 

The Gold sponsors included: Citizens National Bank of Texas and Pinnacle Bank. The Silver sponsors included: Liberty Hotel, The Mustang Foundation, Citizens State Bank and Great Western Dining. The Bronze sponsors included: Hill College Bookstore, SSC Service Solutions, Texas Tech University, Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Cleburne, Texas Health Huguley Hospital Fort Worth South in Burleson, Town Hall Estates of Hillsboro, P & P Plumbing Co. Inc., and David Murdoch.

The 2019 Pillar of the Community awards were presented to Tony Cain of Hillsboro, Dale Gosser of Cleburne and Alex Philips of Burleson. The Pillar of the Community awards recognize individuals and organizations who have helped build and sustain higher education efforts in the Hill College district, and supported the growth of the College. 

The Hill College Scholarship application for the fall semester is now available online. The application deadline is June 1 at midnight. Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis and based on available funds. Students should apply as early as possible.
