The Hill College Women’s Soccer Team continued their Region 5 dominance with a 3-1 victory of Western Texas in the championship game. This was the sixth consecutive Region 5 title for the Women and also extended their Region 5 unbeaten streak to 35 games in a row including 22 straight wins.

The Women’s Soccer Team will now head to the District Tournament against the Region 6 champion in the semifinal round and if they win, they will play in the final against the Region 2 Champion/Region 6 runner-up for a chance to advance to the National Tournament. The Women’s Soccer Team is currently ranked ninth in the nation with a record of 13-2.

The Men’s Soccer team claimed their first Region 5 championship since 2016 which is their fourth since 2014. In a day full of weather delays and, ultimately over a four-hour span, the Hill College Men’s Soccer Team beat Western Texas 1-0 off a goal by Tanner Clements. The Men’s Soccer team will now head to the District Tournament against the Region 6 Champion in the semifinal round and if they win, they will play in the final against the Region 2 Champion/Region 6 runner-up for a chance to advance to the National Tournament.

This is the fourth time since 2014 that both Soccer Teams have won the Region 5 championships in the same season and in total, Hill College Soccer now has won 10 Region 5 titles since 2014.
