Hill College is pleased to welcome Melissa Boyle as the vice president of administrative services.
Boyle comes to Hill College from the First United Methodist Church in Duncanville, Texas, where she served as the director of finance. She takes over the administrative services leadership role from Billy Don Curbo, who dutifully served the college for over 40 years in various financial positions and who will retire this month along with his wife Paula Curbo, who is also retiring from teaching and coordinating the biology program at the college.
Throughout Boyle’s career, she has served as the director of finance for several municipalities, including Grandview, Corsicana, and Hillsboro. During her tenures as director of finance, Boyle also served as city secretary in Corsicana and director of human resources in Hillsboro.
“The executive leadership team and I are extremely excited to welcome Vice President Boyle to Hill College. Melissa is a great addition to our team, and we are looking forward to getting to know and work with her,” said Hill College President Dr. Thomas Mills.
In addition to her extensive experience, Boyle has immersed herself in the communities she has served by participating in leadership programs in both Hillsboro and Corsicana. Boyle was class president of Leadership Greater Hillsboro 2018–2019 and served on the board in 2019–2020. She also helped raise over $20,000 in monetary and like-kind donations for the organization as well as contributing time and labor to create Leadership Park, a community space located across from Franklin Elementary.
“I look forward to contributing to the collective success of Hill College. As vice president of administrative services, I will focus on steering financial integrity, fostering growth, and driving the college toward its long-term goals with precision and dedication. It is a privilege to contribute my skills and passion to Hill College,” said Boyle.
Boyle has a bachelor’s degree from Tarleton State University and master’s degree from the University of North Texas. She is a certified public accountant by the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy.
