The Hill College Music Department presents its annual Spring Choir Concert on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 7:30 p.m.

Directed by Dr. Caleb Chang, director of choirs and associate professor of vocal studies, the program will feature a carefully selected repertoire that balances sacred and secular choral literature, offering a diverse musical experience that reflects both historical tradition and contemporary expression.

In addition to performances by current members of the Hill College Choir, there will be several appearances by choir alumni who have participated in the ensemble over the past several years. Alumni in this year’s performance include William Blanton (2023), Tyson Cartwright (2020), Holly Derbidge (2024), Alexis Golleher (2024), Mady Lewis (2023), Hannah Roznowski (2025), Mia Smith (2021), and Alyssa Ward (2023). Their continued involvement underscores the program’s ongoing commitment to musical excellence and community.

The evening will also feature a guest solo by Bob Kaemmerer, a respected saxophonist in the community, whose performance will add a distinctive dimension to the program.

Accompaniment will be provided by pianist Larry McCord, professor of music and coordinator of visual & performing arts.

The Spring Choir Concert is part of Hill College’s continued effort to engage the community through accessible and high-quality performing arts programming.

Performances are free to the public and are held at the Vara Martin Daniel Performing Arts Center at the Hill County Campus.
