Hill College celebrates class of 2026

On Thursday, May 14, 2026, Hill College welcomed the graduating class of 2026 at Cleburne High School. Over 370 students participated in commencement, the most to walk in the college’s history, an increase of almost 10 percent from last year’s record.  

The ceremony included an invocation by Hill College Board of Regents President David Teel, a welcome and recognition of Board of Regent members, administration, and community partners by Hill College President Dr. Thomas Mills.  

Vice President of Student Experience Lizza Ross presented a recognition of honor graduates. Vice President Student Learning & Success and Chief Academic Officer Irene Benero presented the certification of candidates. 

Dr. Mills gave the conferring and presentation of degrees. Vice President Benero announced presentations of the Burleson Collegiate High School Class of 2026, the Cleburne High School Class of 2026, and the Joshua High School Class of 2026.  

A welcome to the alumni association was also given by Vice President Benero. 

“Graduation is my favorite day in the academic calendar and year! To celebrate the success and completion of students is so amazing. As Hill College is a beacon of excellence that improves lives, graduation is the embodiment of that excellence of student achievement,” said Benero.

Registration at Hill College is now available for the full academic year. Students can apply for all course sessions, including the 16-week fall and spring semesters; all eight-week and mini sessions; as well as the 11-week and two five-week summer sessions.
