On May 14, 2026, Hill College welcomed the graduating class of 2026 at Cleburne High School. Over 370 students participated in the commencement ceremony, the most graduates to walk in the college's history.

This year, graduates were able to celebrate prior to the ceremony with glamour and photo stations, refreshments, and an area to gather with fellow classmates, faculty and staff, as well as members of the Hill College Board of Regents as they got ready for graduation.

“Graduates had a great time utilizing the vanity booth, where staff helped them prepare for commencement and look their best for the ceremony. They also loved the photo station, snacks, and got a complimentary alumni T-shirt, making the celebration both memorable and welcoming.”—Hill College Advancement Team.

The ceremony included an invocation by Hill College Board of Regents President David Teel, a welcome and recognition of Board of Regents members, administration, and community partners by Hill College President Dr. Thomas Mills.

Dr. Mills gave the conferring and presentation of degrees. Vice President of Student Learning & Success and Chief Academic Officer Irene Benero announced presentations of the Burleson Collegiate High School Class of 2026, the Cleburne High School Class of 2026, and the Joshua High School Class of 2026.

Cleburne High School Class of 2026 is the first cohort of students from that school that completed their associate degrees before graduation.

“Graduation is my favorite day in the academic calendar and year! To celebrate the success and completion of students is so amazing. As Hill College is a beacon of excellence that improves lives, graduation is the embodiment of that excellence of student achievement,” said Vice President Benero.
