Over the past 18 months, Hill College has been working with Jenzabar, Inc., on a new cloud-ready software system. It has been 25 years since Hill College has installed a new software system. This is an important transition and will be an important improvement for all Hill College constituents.

This is a major opportunity for Hill College to gain the advantages of new technology to serve our students better and to make work smoother and more efficient for our employees. The new system will help improve student advising, recruitment, retention, budgeting, event management, human resource services, development efforts, and student life activities just to name a few of the areas that will benefit. In mid-to-late October, all employees and students will be engaged with Jenzabar One as users and will enjoy the new user-friendly dashboards. Additional modules will be rolled out into the spring semester.

Key dates:

  • Current system (MyHC, POISE) goes black: Thursday, September 30, 4:45 p.m.
  • Dark Phase: October 1-8
  • Go Live Phase 1: approximately October 11-15
  • Go Live Phase 2: approximately October 18-22

Important notes:

  • Enrollment for the 2nd 8-week semester will continue through October 18. During the time of no online enrollment, students should contact the Academic Advising & Success Center directly to complete the enrollment process.
  • Payments will be accepted in-person or by phone through our cashiers at the Hill County Campus and Johnson County Campus locations. Online payment/installment plans will not be available during this time.
  • You will still be able to use Schoology (academic coursework), email, phone, and the college website throughout this process.
