Hill College Continuing Education Department offers Massage Therapy program

The Hill College Continuing Education Department is now enrolling for the Massage Therapy Program.

Massage Therapists can work out of the home, in health-care organizations (physician’s office, hospital, clinics, etc.), nursing homes, health clubs and fitness centers, spas and resorts, beauty and hair salons, cruise ships, and for sports teams and special events.

Two sections of the 520-hour course are available, Feb. 5-June 5 or Aug. 6-Nov. 29 and the cost is $3,137. Classes will be held Mon., Tue., Wed., and Thur., from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Cleburne.

The courses make up the required curriculum for the basic certificate in Massage Therapy. This curriculum is regulated by Texas Occupations Code 455, and is administrated by the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulations. www.tdlr.texas.gov.

The clinical hours are included in the cost of the program. CPR for Healthcare Providers is required. Students must register for all the classes upon program entry. Students are responsible for textbook(s) and supplies. Some are available in the campus bookstore.

Registration may be completed by visiting the Johnson County Campus at 2112 Mayfield Pkwy., Cleburne, TX, Room 116 of the Administration Building, or by visiting the Hill County Campus at 112 Lamar Dr., Hillsboro, TX. Payment is due at time of registration.
