Hill College Regent Charles Bryant attended his last board meeting this month after submitting his resignation due to moving out of the service area.
When Bryant first became the Board of Regent representative for Covington, Place 1, in 2014, he said, “I am proud to be a Regent of Hill College. Our professional staff is providing an educational environment to Hill County and surrounding counties that will keep us ahead and focused on the future.”
The Board of Regents accepted Bryant’s resignation and recognized his commitment to the college during their March meeting.
Bryant served the Hill College Foundation from May 2005 to November 2015 and has ministered to Hill College students as a volunteer for Gideon’s International throughout the years. He is a current Century Club member and serves on the Hill College HVAC Advisory Board, which he will continue to do.
“Mr. Bryant has been an excellent Regent at Hill College and has served as a representative of the Covington district with grace, professionalism and a true interest in student success,” said Hill College President Dr. Pam Boehm. “Not only is he a great regent, but also a great friend to Hill College. He will be greatly missed as a regent, however, will continue his support of Hill College through service on the HVAC advisory committee and other areas.”
