
Workplace Skills
(3 Course Program - 36 hours/$327)
This program was designed in response to employers’ most common skills needs and will provide students the basic skills they need to enter the office or business workplace environment. Students who complete all three of these classes will receive a Basic Workplace Skills program certificate. Classes may also be taken individually.
In this course, students will learn what customer service means along with goals and challenges; defend the organizational benefits of serving both the external and internal customer; and describe the concept of social customers relative to their purchasing habits and impact on organizations.

In this course, students will gain an understanding of the value of mastering the art of professionalism for their chosen career. Learning to embrace and apply soft skills in the workplace is a first step toward personal success.

In this course, students will learn the six principles of communication and how to communicate in professional networks. Communication skills as applicable to individuals or groups in the workplace. Includes skills in listening, writing, and verbal/non-verbal communications.
