EKG-ELECTROCARDIOGRAPHY (96 Hours/$493) 9.6 CEUs 

The EKG Program is a 96-hour lecture program. Students will learn cardiac testing, including the techniques and interpretation of patient physical assessment. Covers electrocardiography, stress testing, Holter monitoring, vital signs, and cardiovascular pharmacology. Demonstrate non-invasive cardiac testing procedures; perform a physical exam to include vital signs, patient assessment, and history; identify basic dysrhythmias; describe treatment methods including pharmacologic agents; and identify indications, contraindications, action, and side effects of generic and brand name cardiovascular drugs. Students will be prepared to take the certification exam offered by the National Healthcare Association (NHA) or American Medical Certification Association (AMCA).
