The EKG Program is a 36-hour lecture program. Students will learn the fundamentals of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology, including basic electrocardiography procedures, interpretation of basic dysrhythmias, and appropriate treatment modalities. Upon completion, students will be able to describe the anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular system, perform basic electrocardiography procedures, and interpret basic dysrhythmias. Students will also be prepared to take the certification exam offered by the National Healthcare Association (NHA) or American Medical Certification Association (AMCA). CPR for Healthcare Providers is required.
