Academic Support Services

The Advising and Success Center strives to have qualified peer tutors for all college programs.  Every effort is made to fulfill requests. Services are contingent upon the availability of tutors and tutoring funds. Students are assigned a peer tutor for each area/course in which they need assistance upon request.  There are times when we are unable to provide a tutor due tutor availability in a particular subject area or lack of funds.

If you are interested in receiving tutoring, consider the following:

* Are you willing to meet once a week throughout the semester?
* Are you willing to attend special workshops or other academic activities?

Students who wish to receive tutoring must remember not to miss an appointment with a tutor.  Missed sessions/appointments will jeopardize a student's eligibility to receive tutoring.  Also, students who wish to receive tutoring must provide accurate contact information - if a student cannot be contacted, they cannot get tutoring!

If you need assistance in any of your classes, complete the Tutor Request Application. Don’t wait! The earlier you apply the more time you’ll have to improve your grade!
