USERNAME 
For students, your username is your firstname dot lastname.
Example:  john.doe

PASSWORD
Your password is your last name (first letter capitalized) followed by the last four digits of your StudentID (not your SSN).
Example:  Doe1234
 
If you forget your username or password, you can use the  Forgot Username /  Reset Password link in MyHC for assistance.

Office 365 

In order to provide twenty first century tools to our students, Hill College has enrolled in the Office 365 Education for Students program. The plan is available for free to students who attend academic institutions and is available at the Office 365 portal. This plan allows students to install Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Publisher, and Access on up to 5 PCs or Macs. Including Office apps on other mobile devices including Android, iPad, and Apple/Windows tablets. The plan also includes 1TB of OneDrive storage, managed by the school, and students can edit and collaborate using Office Online, Yammer, and Teams.

To get your Office 365 follow these simple steps:

  1. Visit Office 365 portal
  2. Enter your school email and password.
  3. Office 365 will require some security details be setup. Click next and enter a valid phone number or alternate email (this will need be different than your Hillcollege email). Once done click finish.
  4. You should now be on the Office 365 landing page You can install your Office apps by clicking Install Office in the top right. You may also access the apps directly from the web in this portal if you choose.

Student email accounts are created daily,
starting 10 days before On-Campus registration for the semester that you've enrolled.

For assistance contact the e-mail administrator. When you first start WebMail, you will be prompted to enter your user name and password.(Here is an example of what you will see.)

Your user name is now only your firstname.lastname. For example, if your name is John Smith, your user name is: john.smith.
There is no longer a need for the "hillcollege" to be typed before your username.

All Students:
Your password is your last name (using the correct capitalization), and the last 4 digits of your student id number. Please note, your Student ID is not the same as your Social Security Number. If John Smith's student id number is 1234-50122, then his password is Smith0122.

What is my username?: Your username is your firstname.lastname up to a maximum of 20 characters including the dot and any punctuation in your name.

What is my password?: Your password is your Hill College email password: Lastname#### where the #s are the last four digits of your student ID.

 

 


Register a Wireless Device

To register your personal wireless device (smartphone, smart TV, gaming device, personal computer) on the Hill College wireless network please fill out the form below, including a picture of the MAC address and submit this information. You will receive a reply once the registration process is complete.

  1. Turn on your Playstation 4 without a disk in the drive and wait for the Menu.
  2. Navigate to the Settings icon (located on the far left).
  3. Select the System icon under the Settings menu.
  4. You will see your MAC address listed on this screen.
  5. Take a picture of the MAC address and upload it through the Upload Image selection below.
  6. Please allow up to 48 hours for activation.
  1. From the Playstation Home screen, select Settings in the upper right.
  2. Select System.
  3. Select System Software.
  4. Select Console Information.
  5. The MAC address will be listed by MAC Address (Wi-Fi).
  6. Take a picture of the MAC address and upload it through the Upload Image selection below.
  7. Please allow up to 48 hours for activation.
  1. Select Advanced Settings. Under Change Settings select Alternate MAC Address. Select Clear. Allow the console to restart when prompted.
  2. After console has restarted, press the Menu button on your controller.
  3. Navigate to the Settings page.
  4. Select Network.
  5. Select Advanced Settings.
  6. MAC address will be listed next to Wireless MAC on the right-hand side of the screen.
  7. Take a picture of the MAC address and upload it through the Upload Image selection below.
  8. Please allow up to 48 hours for activation.

  3. Select Configure Network
  4. Under Basic Settings check to make sure IP Settings is set to Automatic
  5. Go to Additional Settings
  6. Select Advanced Settings
  7. The MAC Addresses wireless address will be displayed here.
  8. Take a picture of the MAC address and upload it through the Upload Image selection below.
  9. Please allow up to 48 hours for activation.

Open Settings > General > About > Wi-Fi Address. The MAC address will be listed as the device's Wi-Fi address

Note: Newer wireless devices have a Private (Random) wireless MAC address feature. This MUST be turned off to work while on the Hill College wireless network.

  1. Open the Settings on your iPhone.
  2. Tap Wi-Fi.
  3. Tap the Info icon next to Hill College Wi-Fi network. Scroll down to the Private MAC Address.
  4. Switch the Private Wi-Fi Address to the Off position.
  5. Take a picture of the MAC address and upload it through the Upload Image selection below.
  6. Please allow up to 48 hours for activation.

  2. Select Network
  3. In the left-hand pane, select the name of the network to which you are currently connected
  4. Click Advanced in the lower right corner
  5. Make sure the Wi-Fi tab is selected
  6. At the bottom of the window, the device's MAC address will be listed next to Wi-Fi MAC Address.
  7. Take a picture of the MAC address and upload it through the Upload Image selection below.
  8. Please allow up to 48 hours for activation.
  1. Search for Command Prompt in the Windows Search field
  2. Type in ipconfig/all and press Enter. Your network configurations will display
  3. Scroll down to your Network Adapter and look for the values next to Physical Address, which is your MAC address.
  4. Take a picture of the MAC address and upload it through the Upload Image selection below.
  5. Please allow up to 48 hours for activation.
  1. From the Fire TV or Fire TV Stick’s home screen, scroll down to Settings.
  2. Next, scroll to the right and select System.
  3. Next, Scroll down to and select About.
  4. Next, Scroll down to Network. Your Fire TV or Fire TV Stick’s MAC Address will be listed on the right.
  5. Take a picture of the MAC address and upload it through the Upload Image selection below.
  6. Please allow up to 48 hours for activation.

  2. Next, scroll to the right and select Network.
  3. Next, Scroll down to and select About.
  4. Under Network Name towards the bottom is the Wireless MAC Address.
  5. Take a picture of the MAC address and upload it through the Upload Image selection below.
  6. Please allow up to 48 hours for activation.

  2. In the Settings Menu, select About or Network
  3. Here you can find your MAC Address listed as the Wireless ID

  2. Setup new wireless connection
  3. Highlighting either Scan again or Scan again to see all networks options displays an informational panel with the wireless Mac address of your Roku TV
